Residence Le Grand Chalet - Courmayeur

Wellness facilities nice for relaxation after skiing. Balcony provided great views.

Weird layout in our two-bedroom suite caused headaches. Slanted roof led to bumping heads, and basement felt cramped with small beds. Temperature control was a pain-cold downstairs while sweltering upstairs. Found small black bugs in one of the downstairs beds upon arrival, which left a bad taste over cleanliness concerns.

Flexibility of self catering with excellent position for accessing the main passegiata in the town with extremely good restaurants.Very close to mini market and only short walk from larger supermarket. Actually next to the ski school and very short walk from the ski lift with ski hire right next to the ski lift.As it was at the end of the ski season we chose to ski from La Thule which was about 15-20 mins drive away. The choice for ski-ing from there was excellent, including accessing the French side at La Rosieres.

There is much to like about this hotel and it's location, once you find it. Reception is most welcoming and helpful. The town is beautiful with good restaurants and shops and the surrounds offer much; golf, tracks, fishing. The hotel is well positioned, comfortable and good value.

The spa area provided excellent relaxation after skiing, but our room felt cramped with a weird layout.

We had no idea where we were staying as this was a late booking, but I can only say this is a gem of a place to stay in Courmayeur. Its a stone's throw away from the main ski lift, close walking distance to the village centre, has an great little spa in the basement (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room), very nice staff, and is overall great value. To add to that we had a balcony with a spectacular view over the Mont Blanc!

Facilities are limited - this is a residence rather then a hotel. There's a bar attached to the residence (although not part of it) but no restaurant. Not an issue for us as we liked going out...

The rooms are lovely, fine, and come with a balcony, a kitchenette and a couch...

It was all superb.

Fantastic location and charming stay

The views from our balcony were amazing, and the spa offered a relaxing retreat after a day on the slopes. Particularly Marcela at the reception.

We were most impressed with everything this hotel had to offer. The location is excellent with proximity to shops, restaurants, walking tracks and short drive to golf, fishing etc. The room was spacious, clean and most comfortable and the service of highest standard. We spent 4 most enjoyable days and look forward to returning some day.

Great alternative to a hotel with loads of extra space. Great facilities including Sky, free Wifi and Spa. Very close (100m) to the main ski cable car and 300m from the main centre that is full of shops and restaurants. Great excuse to get out and try a different one each evening. Immensely helpful and friendly staff

The chalet is great location just meters from the funicular. We had two lovely balconies with great mountain views. The spa was a huge plus and mostly quiet in the evenings. The staff were helpful and made everything easy for us 😊

A brilliant hotel! We stayed in the 5 person apartment whilst skiing for a week and the room was fantastic with plenty of storage space for all our clothing and belongings. The kitchenette enabled us to cook easily at anytime of the day, even lunchtime as the location is right next to the cable car for the pistes.The supermarket is also a short walk away. The spa and pool were an added luxury at the end of a hard day on the slopes. Everything is clean and tidy and there is even a garage to keep your car - not that we needed a car as everything is in walking distance. A warm welcome from the staff who were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended - we will be using it again.

We had a fantastic stay at Le Grand Chalet. The location is perfect; 2 minutes away from the ski lift and the centre of town. The appartments were clean, spacious and the bed linen and towels were changed everyday. Much more than we expected when we booked! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to any of our friends!

Loved the wellness facilities, but the room's layout was super cramped.
